Haha I just noticed this on eBay, has the world gone mad? I am looking at a ford sierra right? Still has a past like any other and what a waste, paying that means it will probably never see the road again, pretty sad, plus it has 2 driveshafts too many and the wrong colour to ever hold its money
Exactly Lee glad your doing and removing that 500 splitter is a great idea mate that splitter never suited the saff
Looked ok with big wheels but pants with standard, especially when it's the only non standard part you see it stuck out like a sore thumb.
The 500 splitter mod is pretty dated now,the rouse 1 was never in imo

The rouse one is the only thats stopping the middle of the bumper hitting the floor

Whats wrong with the standard Ford one on a 2wd Saff?
I'll give that a try on mine lee it's my biggest bug bare with a sapphire is everything sags lol, wish someone would make a new front bumper for them.
Mine was drooping a bit along the top where the supports are,I heated it up 1 side at a time and sat a flat piece of wood on it and a full 5 gallon drum till it cooled,it wasn't bad before but it's a lot lot better now.
No,used a friends heat gun as it was a small area, for a lot of sagging a space heater pointed at the front for long enough will get the plastic playable again.
Wasn't worried about the paint on mine as it wasn't a good job someone had made of painting it,it was ok but I noticed it when I bought it that it was a half arsed job and was always on the to do list.
Thanks matey. My head lining has sagged ever so slightly at the back again. Ahhhhh there is always jobs to do on these cossies.
I have just had a new billet rear diff mount and new billet poly bushed drop links fitted, as you say always something to do but that is part of cossie ownership.
My new headlining has been ok up till now thankfully.
Been one more bid on it now , up to Ł50,601, with it finishing in the morning I wonder if there will be a last minute frenzy of bids by people who must have more money than sense.
Looks dodgy,2 feedback,100% history winning items from this seller.
But why take it over the reserve, there were 3 other bidders who went over the reserve, friends possibly??
155lee I was lucky enough to get a brand new one as well a few years back.Looks like another item that is no longer available!
When I got a friend to do a finis code search,2 showed up.
When I enquired the guy went and got it but it was bent in half, called the other dealer and bought theirs which turned up straight luckily.
Have you drove your car with the billet diff mount??
There's been one on mine since I bought it and it makes the diff very noisy,it clunks and bangs and just makes driving the car less enjoyable.
I'm sure you get poly and nylon inserts, mine must be nylon I think as my last cos with a poly mount was ok.

It is 100% dodgy mate, could be a few of his friends bidding it up, it only has to make 1 person think that's it's true value for when it's relisted, it's just greed imo whatever happened to a fair days work for a fair days pay those days are long gone now

Mine is the one from MSD with poly insert, had no problems with it so far and no nasty noises etc.
I don't get the point in bidding up to silly levels like this. anyone with that sort of spare cash to spend on garage ornament like this isn't likely to be a stupid person!
what do you reckons a fair value for this assuming the history is genuine? itll surely still be worth Ł20Kish for such a low miler?

I fitted a poly diff mount to mine and the saff handled miles better.
Brilliant position to be in if you already own one. They are only going to become increasingly rare as people continue to break them up. I'll keep hold of mine for now.
its great if you've a car or parts to sell but if your an owner and you break something it wont be so great trying to get hold of replacement parts to keep it on the road.
seen a white one driving through Edinburgh this morning about rush hour. must still be getting used as a daily. looked clean and wasn't belching blue smoke !
