Popped over to one of my mates places yesterday and he has a stunning long driveway so thought it rude not to take a few pics for those of you that actually like a 170

not many have the sunroof but finding one with all the options was pure luck on my part it was only later I found out it was a dealer demonstrator

I have been watching for ages. They are either over priced dogs, been to the moon and back, all ready rusty on the out side so I hate to think what's under the arches. Or have 5 doors. Or are 400 miles away.

So a nice spec low milage 3 door should be worth hanging on to.

Would of loved one with Recaros but none for sensible prices. Mine just needs some general tidying.

its not far off Glenn even a few lads from the rsoc who know a thing or two wanted it off me just a few months ago and I turned down Ł3k then

I break them all the time so see the regular issues they suffer with mainly rust on sills and floor, and as soon as one needs a clutch the Ł800+ bill means they get broken up for parts

sold a set on saturday and have one set left but they sell fast and I can get Ł400 for them all day long easy as every set I sell fetch this no bother, other popular wants are those wanting the factory subwoofer

its a subtle mod but a nice one for the summer, I may stick my spare bonnet back on and end of show season when weather declines

The oz's suit it, I'm tempted to pick up a sub 1k ST170 just to smoke about in and possibly take on the odd track day. I'm stuck between a base spec one or one with all the toys ... Well xenons. But then I keep looking at Clio 172's. The wife might want me to sell the current runaround first though (1.2 corsa )

if I am honest as a track toy the clio is prob better but being a ford nut the 170 is a good shout as they can be bought cheap depeding on spec and modified up for little money unless you go silly

It's been 10 years since I last owned a ford (focus ghia tdci) I've always liked the st170 and as a day to day car it would be better than the Clio and despite me saying I want to take it to the track the last car of my own was a fiesta rst when it was 6 years old .....

without a doubt the 170 is a better all rounder and is a pleasure to drive, just on track the clio edges it for me
