i found a ford escort rs cosworth damaged and i would like to know which shell can i use from another escort i don't know 1.6 , 1.4 CL , GLX???? which??? so i can transfer all the parts and build an escort from 0.
waiting your answer and links if possible or a site with someone who has done it yet.

If you want to genuinly keep it as an Escort Cosworth, then you can only use an Escort Cosworth shell m8.
Normal Escorts are TOTALLY different.

 

As above. The Escort Cosworth shell is a shell of it's own. Not the same as any other Escort shell. Even the wheel base is different if I recall correctly.

 

you could convert a std shell but it would mean grafting transmission tunnel, suspension mounts... and all the other things etc etc, way too much work if you ask me!

just as a note the escos shell is 4" longer than a std escort shell...

 

You would need another Cosworth shell mate, get some pics up of it - never know it could be repairable
