Is the cam pulley pointer at 12 o clock when the crank is on tdc (crank keyway at 12 o clock)

This link shows a later 1.4 but the cam timing is the same as any other CVH

this is how i set it up with both at tdc 12 oclock rotor pointing to cylinder no1 then turned to 6 oclock sparks on cylinder 4 instead of no1 compression stroke

just been in garage to look after setting up both cam and crank at tdc 12 oclock rotor on no1 turned crank 1 turn inlet valve opened and closed crank now at tdc 12 oclock cam at 6 oclock rotor pointing to cylinder 4 i,m thinking take belt off turning crank 1/4 turn then turn cam 1 full turn or until rotor points to 1 again then put crank to tdc and put belt on but not sure

Sounds like you have set it 180 degrees out?

Why did you put the head on with a bent valve
