Gp4 Mk2 Escort

Hi all, I've got myself a new shell, here we go! :top: It's gonna be awesome, I got it from a very nice guy from Chorley who won the MN Tarmac championship in '98 and a few guys off here have navigated for him, I love the shell, it's v good for it's age.
This is it in action
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...arriss/Mk2.jpg
and here it is now, in my soon to be finished garage,
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...Picture536.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...Picture530.jpg

it's pretty good underneath and has a big tunnel
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...Picture529.jpg
it's also 5 linked
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...Picture531.jpg
and has a big cut out to mount the engine against the bulkhead
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...Picture528.jpg
watch this space!
this is the Gulf colours I'm going for,It's my old car, but photoshopped.

Alan s1 20-03-2005 10:36 PM

He as still got to build this one
He only brought the shell ;)

andyescos 21-03-2005 11:33 AM

This is a proven shell that has all the right bits, to get a good mk2 shell is £800+, then just the bits alone, arches, link boxes, tunnels, etc is near on £1500+, then you gotta seam weld and paint etc so £1300 for a proper built shell aint too bad.
Andy

Alan s1 21-03-2005 03:19 PM

Andy

Must live in a nice town not to have a garage door on there.
not worried about someone pulling a trailer up and draging away your shell. or even the dry wall for that matter.
maybe the sink..

The rims are proper Image 3 piece items off a guy who does sprinting in a Mk2, he's gone back to minilites, I want 235/40/15 tyres if I can find em.I need to narrow my axle 15mm to fit em though, time for a trip to Gartrac again! "Kerching! ££££££££££££££"

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...8srs500002.jpg

andyescos 27-08-2005 09:58 PM

How come the twink arb's are better?, a few people have said that to me now, I had RJ comp strutts on my old one and it turned in amazing, used to sit very high at the front so under breaking it was level and v well balanced.
