We was going to go 2WD but we think to get the power down 4X4 and it wont be such a handfull .The truck is so solid i nearly gave up cause i thought i wont find a solid one
That's the same p100 model that I began with btw. So are you going IRS or Capri axle?

Cossie axle mate
The truck feels so long in length its about 500mm longer than the car
When you come to fit the rear beam, cut into the chassis below the old leaf spring hangers. If you box it out and down from the ladder chassis you will see the rear beam from under the tub and its a bit of an eye sore. I welded in a bit of 70x70x3mm box section to mount the diff mount/hanger and simply welded in for nuts.
Use the bump stops for the solid axle are a reference point when the tub is off to line up the drive shafts. Estate rear trailing arms will work or coilovers because std rear dampers are miles to long. |

And i take it the tub arches wont have to be made bigger the rear wheels going on are 9and a half inch dymags going on the rear and 8 on the front they was off my old 3door

each to their own but having built a 4x4 and 2wd i wouldnt go back to 4x4 as having to much fun in the 2wd hence sold the 4x4.

and the work starts lol :top:
i am going 4x4 partly due to having the 4x4 running gear and the other reason is i have been in my brothers 2wd sapphire and it really trys to kill you spinning up over 100mph dont get me wrong its alot of fun but if your not use to this your goin to land off the road (and in scotland its normally wet so this does not help any) , it comes down to the age old thing if you want to be sliding around go 2wd but 4x4 imo should be more controlable and better to put power down but as i said i am going 4x4 but if the gearbox dies every time i use it it will be going 2wd |
Cool project.I just think its a shame to pull that saff apart for its bits. The saff looks like a good car.
Just me and you sharky boy that will be sideways everywhere and all the tyre smoke on the drag strip.
Lol trys to kill you at 100mph
Nice van Rizla, me and a mate are looking for one that shape to chop into a 2wd Escos pick up.
