I picked them up off ebay mate, not proper ford ones. Only difference is they are Allen head not torx.

M6x12mm black stainless A2 Allen button head and M6 A2 black stainless 18mm washers.

I think there's only guy doing them, if you get stuck ill put the link on.

The car looks stunning mate! I bet you can't wait to get it mapped at NMS, Karl has mapped 2 of my cars and it made a massive difference every time. Definitely in safe hands.

Thanks mate.

Just hope I don't have any problems in April whilst running the engine in. Also the front and rear diff have been rebuilt.

The only thing I regret doing is buying a small turbo, for the money I could if put another £400 towards it and come away with a new TT T38

I'm hoping it makes 330bhp

Not much progress today, took 6 hours to re wire the fuel pump

Had these sitting in my toolbox so fitted them in as well,

and I thought I'd braid the numberplate lamps whilst I was under there,

Re pinned and tidied up,

All working nice and bright

Then I went to drop it off the ramps and the car stalled and the clutch pedal went straight to the floor

Panic stations and called Jeff over, stuck on ramps in gear and no clutch.

I managed to fit the cable back on the clutch fork, somehow it came off. I honestly thought the cable had snapped. Took it round the block for a quick spin and all seems to be ok.

Anyone have any similar issues? I've never had a cable pop off before

I can still remember when you took the car off the road to start the rebuild and i came over to do the timing belt the first time for you. I am stunned to see what a fantastic job you have done to the car considering that when you started it the car was mint anyway.

They're really cool!! Just curious, but, once the cars on the ramp, how do you get the ramp horizontal?

The ramps I have are in the 2nd link, the ramps in the 1st link, once the car is on you can pick the car up and the legs pop out the bottom. Very similar to the ramps used in used car dealerships

Oops, didn't look at the second link... I was kind of assuming it would make the car counter balance and be easy to pick up.

Very clever design!!

It past with no advisories, however not all good news, looks like the oil seal on the prop has give up already

So if anyone knows of where to buy a Viton one or have the dimensions to hand, it would be appreciated

Thanks, tbh I looked at it today and I think when I repainted the prop I've painted too far up to the spline.

I'll check it out once I have a seal in hand so I'm not doing the same job twice.

Daft question but once I pull the front prop out, which oil am I expecting to run out, is it gearbox or transfer box oil? just to make sure I have some left

I had mine media blasted, they were fine. You can buy new lines for £150 off ebay, they're supposed to be a really good fit.

Ill be investing in a set to braize AN fittings on
