graphite grey rs1600i - flocked parts in 4/6/12
Having bought a partially restored 16i last year thought i would share some photos with you all. Car has been off the road for approx 10 years benefiting from rot removed and a full repaint.
Car was bought nearly complete, just needing finishing http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...i/DSC02684.jpg Pics from previous owner during resto http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...i/DSC02718.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...i/DSC02719.jpg Car then sat in storage while work commitments took over. Any way after buying a few things namely a new engine /wheels/ brakes etc i thought it was best to crack on. Konis ready to be painted Sunburst red to match standard shocks http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...1032010611.jpg Engine removed ready for new one http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7022010608.jpg Engine out http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7022010608.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7022010605.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...1032010614.jpg New engine in, think the rocker cover might need some modding http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7032010621.jpg How its currently sat http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7032010620.jpg More updates to follow. |

i looked at this car almost exactly a year ago when it was in the ford garage, beautiful colour and a very very clean shell.will be really nice when its finished!good luck with it,make sure you have a fire extinguisher to hand when its 1st fired up!

Not much of an update lately unfortunately. However as I couldn't get the 3 inch bore mongoose to sit correctly I decided to remove it and fit a 2.5 inch instead. So spent most of the day fitting it to sit correctly then heatwrapping the complete exhaust.

not really an update as such. Needed to get the car out for pics for the insurance company so thought it could do with a clean.
wash/ 1 coat of polish, 3 coats of wax and a coat of sealant later. Still need to finish the clean and the small matter fo getting it on the road. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7-26144421.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7-26144403.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7-26144352.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7-26144323.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7-26123544.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...7-26144435.jpg |
