My New Focus RS Mk1

well i bought this FRS from Carlo about 2weeks ago and heres what it was like when i got it:
Attachment 168962 Attachment 168963 Attachment 168964 Attachment 168965 mods already done are: Exhaust, manifold, modded turbo, airfilter and dreamscience so its quite nippy and front splitter my mods are going to be: smoked indicators front and side, smoked headlights, delock it, ghia interior light and wiper switch, HID's and clifford alarm |
Its a great car and i loved the drive home, the feel of it coming on boost, the style of it everything but i posted some pics on RSOC and it appeared that my chargecooler rad was missing! Know one knows what actually happened to it but it wasnt there so i havent actually driven if since last week just to be on the safe side,
The drivers seat needs the alcantara on the base redoing so thats booked in at Autotrim in denton to be redone and the steering wheel was worn so ive got a new one of those too. the plan for this weekend was to clean it but its snowed in Bolton so that was the plan out of the window so i got on with some other mods ive listed above!!! |

Looks much better smoked :DD: still cant beleive i changed the turbo & never noticed that that rad wasnt there! i have never worked on one before so didnt know how it was meant to look. its a fair size that radiator as well. Just as well i didnt use iit much or i would have caused damage. Steering wheel makes a huge difference glad the car is in good hands ;-)

very nice motor and very lucky about the charge cooler :top:

Christ how many miles has it done that steering wheel looks fucked! I sold mine on 40 and it was mint as were seats. Words on the missing rad fail me has it been in a crash?

JonnyS2: Yes the S2 went to my mate who has raped it of parts for his fiesta and then rebuilding it and selling it on. |
Nice car i light the head lights.
|
nice love the smoked lights

Looking good mate :DD:, Just before this turns into a slagging match untill sam told me i had no idea that the chargecooler rad wasnt there i have never worked on one of these before or been near one always been mostly cosworths.. I paid a tad under 8k for the car & had the timing belt done in among that price. I then spent £350 on a turbo manifold £600 on a new turbo £160 for turbo forge actuator & braided oil feed pipe.£420 on 4 new yokohamma's £200 on wheel refurb £400 for full stainless exhaust £700 painting both sides .£350 deamscince£180 on brand new gen 2 k&n if i had known that the pre rad wasnt there i would have had a pro alloy one on it as im not shy on spending money on my cars you will see above what i lost if you add all that up. I also supplied the car with new st170 headlights in the box , new samco coolant hoses & a brand new indoor tailored cover from classic editions for £8300 i lost a good few grand in a short very short time..Before i got the sides painted i was told by the painter it was the original paint & its certanly not had any panels so if it did have a bump it was over 3 years ago & must have been low down damaging rad & bumper ? untill i changed the turbo it was all totally original. As for the wear on the steering wheel i was going to buy one with 50k miles to be re trimmed & it was just as bad as mine ended up not bothering it was on the to do list before i taxed the car for the summer.I thought i would just ad this incase the thread went nasty as sam got the car for a good price i bet for the money it owes him he will struggle to find another so clean as this car hasnt got 1 mark on it.
