well chap it looks like you have a thred going now. the shell looks the tits matey i'm loving the wide look it will have what running gear are you going to use diff and rear end more to the point, i see you mention skyline box just wonderd on diffs ect, anyway it looks to be going good chap :top:

zetaboostboy522bhp 02-01-2009 12:13 PM

Got a coosie box ,front diff and a 2wd 7.5 rear diff, but iam thinkin about the skyline box before we do the big tunnel as i dont wont to cut it up after the work has been done and i know they do big power. The plus of my car is hopefully it will under 1 ton so it should light the tyres up before it does the gearbox but also thinknto go for reyland gearkit but we will see , i must make my mind up

Hi Paul,

Unless we could come to some deal where I dont have to pay you and you could chip in towards my corner weighting I is fucked mate! LOL!! Although being the cheeky fuck I am I have stored the pics of that piece of lovelyness you call a manifold for future reference so when I do have the cash after the car is running I can show them to my manifold guy!

I will be watching this thread with great interest, so please keep the updates coming!

As I said before though, anything I can do to help, please say the word

Twins 04-01-2009 05:15 AM

wess-rs 04-01-2009 10:21 AM

Nice!:DD:

Johnny Knoxville 04-01-2009 11:15 AM

Don't mean to diss Ian's manifold but why doesn't he make a better collector made?

Mind you it has been tested and proven

Like this?

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3835589

fezzajsy 04-01-2009 03:13 PM

those manifolds look wikid Johnny.does the guy sell em?

zetaboostboy522bhp 04-01-2009 03:20 PM

hi mate no probs with nickin the photo any thing that helps a fellow petrolhead. but soz mate i cant do that sort of deal cause ive gotta get my car done , cheers dude

zetaboostboy522bhp 04-01-2009 03:27 PM

this one is for sale and was a development one has it has got equal lenght headers, ian sells the unequal lenght manifold one for £550 i think . the one ian sells is what my engine was running when it made 522bhp so its very good anyway cheers mate

zetaboostboy522bhp 04-01-2009 03:40 PM

hi mate like you said its a provern product that works very , very well so why change it . its only picky people that say you might get better gas flow etc and yes iam one of those picky people but i only made this new one to try and up the torque but without puttin the engine on the dyno again who knows if it would make much of a difference? ians products are the best you can buy at reasonable prices for the zetec turbo and zvh , just look how much a primary design focus rs manifold is £995 WHAT THE FUCK . THATS NEARLY THE COST OF A EXHAUST AND A CUSTOM INLET FROM IAN AND SOME PEOPLE MOAN ABOUT HIS PRICES .UNBELIEVEABLE CHERRS MATE HOPE THIS HELPS

Johnny Knoxville 04-01-2009 03:45 PM

Not dissing his work just wondered why they were made like that?

Sweet project and will be keeping a eye on this one

WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE ON A COLLECTOR WHICH WOULD HAVE TO BE MADE ITS THE NEXT BEST THING , THIS IS SPUN STAINLESS STEEL WHICH IS MUCH STRONGER THAN ROLLED AND WELDED STAINLESS TO MAKE THE COLLECTOR UP . ALSO WHATS THE DIFFERENCE ALL THE EXHAUST PORTS MEET AT THE SAME POINT SO THERES NO FLOW RESTRICTION PLUS ITS TAPPERED JUST LIKE A CUSTOM BUILT COLLECTOR POT. I THINK IANS COST HIM AROUND THE £750 MARK JUST FOR THE COLLECTOR POT , SO ITS A PERFECT ALTERNATIVE OPITION

Use Macro mode on your Camera ;-)

Johnny Knoxville 05-01-2009 05:50 AM

Love the engine spec

I thought that the standard crank needed to be changed for a steel one once you got past 400bhp?
I see your running the standard block and not the CGI one also

Rossco 05-01-2009 09:46 AM
