'67 old skool dragger

well after getting a job i decided it was high time i moved to something older and RWD was very close to buying a bog standard un-touched 100e until this popped up and i fell in love

drove the 120mile round trip to view it and left a deposit

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...y/DSCF0164.jpg

on the way over it jumped off the trailer going over roadworks

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0228.jpg

home safely :DD: deffinatly suits my style the paint really sold it for me  brush painted in red oxide and its staying that way with satin trim

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0231.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0234.jpg

got it under cover

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0015.jpg

oooh type 3 gearbox :top:

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0068.jpg

also came with these

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0115.jpg

after a few days i had all the running gear out of it

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0089.jpg

multi coloured gearbox

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0085.jpg

cradle had a nasty crack in it

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0092.jpg

so i beefed it up, id ran out of gas okay

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0028.jpg

leaf springs off

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/DSCF0031.jpg

how'd that happen you ask

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...DSCF0033-1.jpg

exploded on impact with my hand

not really toched the car since then

https://i243.photobucket.com/albums/...a/DSCF0181.jpg

so i finished off smartening the axel up

https://i243.photobucket.com/albums/...a/DSCF0215.jpg

bought a 1300

https://i243.photobucket.com/albums/...a/Image065.jpg
https://i243.photobucket.com/albums/...a/Image069.jpg

and offered some wheels up

the plans are lots of fiberglass and plastic and turn it into a 1/4 mile car next winter im gonna try and get a 1700 built up :D unless i get really silly and buy a pinto although ive been considering volvo power too

well done mate, coming together nicely :top:

Moose 130 12-11-2007 08:12 PM

I don't want to take the piss, but the most constructive advise I could give you would be to get some lessons in welding.

Most local colleges run evening classes.

I would say you need a higher setting to get penetration. Most of your welding appears to sit on top of the metal.

But well done for the work so far, keep going!!

Mr Sam 14-11-2007 06:04 PM

constructive critisism totally welcome somone had mentioned turn the power and wire feed up and welding ive done since that bit is miles better

https://i243.photobucket.com/albums/...a/DSCF0051.jpg
