The Antique (BIG Thanks to AJC)

Been meaning to do this for a long time now & give a big THANK YOU to Seveneigths & Nightdavva for all the hard work and helping me (12months ago )

After Germany last Sept i knew the engine was well past its sell by date and was due a freshen up. So Paul (Seveneights) came to the rescue and sold me his BULLET PROOF low miles bottom end. But when we started to strip it down we found it had already had a rebuild & was blue printed

Anyway few pics from the build.......

ZOO Motorsport Head on......

While at ZOO it got a new diff aswell

Flywheel and 6 paddle were given a make over

Few late nights and 1 week later the engine was ready to go back in
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...ul3/Engine.jpg

The engine has done over 2k trouble free miles now & hasn't missed a beat. So i'll move on to the next chapter. Whilst in Germany at Easter myself & Comedy Dan went for a lap around the Ring & in the wet the car got away from me & put it in the armco :( Luckily it was only panal damage (rear quarter/new front wing rear bumper & light) Lucky was not the word, so once back on the Wed it was straight in the the bodyshop to be repaired & was finished for the 1st show of this year. Santa Pod Cantral Day, Whilst in the bodyshop we noticed a few things but decided to get the show season and summer out of it 1st. So as from last week, she got stripped and is going back in for a make over.....

Still a few more bits to get off but hopefully it'll be in the bodyshop sometime this week.

Updates to follow.......

NOTE: Andy(rsnissan), Franco, Rich (B9 KOS) John (lampchop) NO THE ENGINE IS NOT COMING OUT :p

:blabla: BIG up Shorty for the tea  :top:

John: the engine made 360bhp on the rollers, but once we got traction and a few peeps in the boot it made 349bhp which i was happy about. Ive sorted a set of 55lb blacks out & was gonna go T38 but sticking with this turbo now, so if i can between 380/390bhp i'll be happy :)

Dave: its getting the full right hand side painted, bootlid, bumper, morettes etc. She's was getting a little tired in places and just needed a freshen up. Hopefully im gonna go back to standard look (orange indicators etc) just hope it works with the front quads.

lamb chops 06-11-2006 07:32 PM

Bad luck with the armco incident :( Apparently you were at the RS meet on Thursday night...I turned up with Rawli but it seems you hate my guts after the sticker misunderstanding so I didn't find out who you were or introduce myself! :? Good luck with the cosmetics, sounds as though it'll be bang on for the shows next year.
