My focus st225

Well here are some pics of the new motor. I've had it 5 weeks now and absolutely love it! the power and the handling is great and its such a well built car. I've always wanted one and held out til a Electric orange one came about and now I'm in a good position to afford one. The running cost and tax was'nt really a issue due to my astra being a 2.0 TURBO so tax and mpg are the same, the st guzzles a bit more but not much more.
Any way here are some pics.

also plan on some decals like this which is different from most st's with the usual white stripes.

Well decided to try out some plastidip spray on my wing badges. Will let the pics do the talking.

Jobs done so far is k&n gen 2 and also a dreamscience remap. The car pulls a lot better now and I've also got other maps to choose from

There wasn't any tape. It's plistidip sprayed it straight onto the wing then peeled off the excess

Need to do my grills.
Here's my attempt

Well I've not updated for awhile so heres a few bits and pics.
Well not long after getting this I found out the misses is pregnant so I purchased our child seat as I'm not getting rid of the focus.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...D45F7FD23A.jpg
Got it all tracked on my mates fancy new equipment.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...2518000813.jpg
Also instead of paying out for a cat back system which doesnt see any gains on the ST I decided to do the de-res mod which now sounds like this.
http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...36845837A2.mp4
Then a group buy came up on the airtec gen 3 so was rude not to

Picture is a bit hard to see but its fitted. looks great behind the grills with the orange letters

If only my st had 5 doors I would of kept it.

Nice update, cracking car!

scortpower 17-11-2012 07:58 PM

Carlos-Titx 17-11-2012 08:03 PM

Mine was as well but with a 2nd on the way I needed a bigger car.

Met the new owner of my ST though and she's looked after and soon to be running 320 bhp.

scortpower 17-11-2012 08:22 PM

Ah right. I'm trying to get the bits I want now before little one is due

STAFFY OWNER 20-11-2012 01:11 AM

Aaaaarrrgh!!!!! More black wheels - too many sheep. Apart from that, nice car, orange is my favourite colour in these. Baby seat is well cool.

Karl 3dr 20-11-2012 07:23 AM

Really nice that mate, I think it'll look nice with the side stripes you were talking about, thinking of something similar for mine.

RichieST 20-11-2012 08:07 AM

Very nice mate, get all the spendig done now, you'll be permanently skint when the baby is here

I am doing mate. Just got new powerflex bushes to go on the front. Got a list of bits I want before feb lol

RichieST 20-11-2012 07:35 PM

My first daughter is 1 tomorrow, hence my ST is currently laid up SORN'd in the garage

Let me know how you get on fitting the bushes as I am tempted on a set myself. They are supposed to be a nightmare to do.

scortpower 20-11-2012 08:39 PM

Looking at the threads on st owners club it's a pain but not to hard. Just need a press and a blow torch to burn the old bushes out. My mate will be doing it but ill let you know how it goes. People have managed in their own garage without a press so imagine its not to hard

Nice looking car. Electric orange is a stunning colour. How are you finding the Plastidip?

Its ok. The first time I did it I put to many layers on to quick and it started to peel. Second attempt I took my time and its fine now.

UKDip 18-12-2012 08:42 PM

Glad to here the products working. Have you done any other mods to the car other than the FMIC? Did you notice any difference in performance?

I'm running a dreamscience map and K&n panel filter. I noticed it was a bit more responsive and also the intake temps have dropped a fair bit since fitting it.
