Default Otto quality

Hi all,

Just looking for some opinions really. I nearly have all of the otto models.

Now first things first they are incredibly detailed and I like them all, I think they produce a really good product and are above nearly all the other makers.

However I must say I haven't been impressed with the standard on a few of the models. Excess glue in areas, we all know about focus RS colour match.

I think the worst one so far has been the S2 Rs turbo. Excess glue everywhere including on the tyres which is proving very difficult to get off. The paint is quite thin in places and in my opinion overly yellow.

Also on the spoiler both ends have marks due to being under painted.

The problem I have is because not bought directly from OTTO I don't think I can go back to them, even though it was brand new in box.

What have you guys done in the past? Am I expecting too much? Is this common?

What are your thoughts?

My two sapphires ive found to be top quality, also got a 750iL and thats a bit crappy around some of the painted lines, but still decent.

All my OTTO have been pretty good tbh.
I always order direct as cheaper than dealers.
Quality is pretty good, but customer service is non existent

Buy from Otto direct, its a lot cheaper & if there is an issue, they usually swap them for a replacement. My Lotus Carlton is costing Ł58.77 posted direct from Otto.

Personally, I returned both my XR2 Fiesta's as one had paint defects & the other has a bit broken off. They swaped them no issues, jsut a tad slow at replying to my email. On the positive side, I lost a rear light for my EsCos, they sent out a replacement pair free of charge within a day or so.

I am only collecting fords so i cannot buy them direct from otto as they are all sold out.

The only one I bought from them was focus RS which was kissing it's exhaust tip and they sent out two straight away.

It's really only the S2 that I'm not happy with, it was brand new in a never opened box but I didn't buy it fr them so I can't see them doing anything.

There is a Mondeo ST200 out soon from Otto. Pre-ordering from them is cheaper.
