i'm making one now. full size. bought old rusty xr4i and left it outside workshop. it is coming along very nicely.

 

You're leaving an xr4i to rot?!?!

 

it was rotten when i bought it. beyond saving imo and only wanted a few bits and pieces off it.

Iv got 4 now lol, i even bought some grass from modelzone ... but theres one thing nobody does to their 'barn finds'...that i do lol....

Bought a white 3dr,silve vitesse mini, blue xr2, orange escort mexico and the white haynes xr3i... all vanguards 1:43 except the mini..

-Not the best, but heres a couple pics..

Good choice on the xr2 looks good, probably better then my first attemp is going to be lol

 

Xr2 looks cool matt! Ever thought of putting a lighter under a tyre so it melts a little, then quickly putting it against a flat surface to make it look flat? Just a thought. Unless it would catch fire, possibly a heat gun??

Or use a blade to cut the bottoms off, then superglue the wheels in place....

I like the xr3i the best , xr2 i didnt mean to ruin, but accidentally did. so... yeah, its now being 'barn found' lol....
