    Hi Pete,
I was seeking your advise on a fuel relay.
We are experiencing some issues starting up my recently restored Mk 4 88 spec escort. All looms have been loop checked, earth integrity, fuses, relay points cleaned etc..... Car was initially running for a couple of short periods after all the metering head serviced, new fuel tank, fuel pump etc... fitted. The relay now only works for the prime but the pump not work ( it did before ). The pump can be linked directly to the battery and it works ok. We initially observed the relay to be getting a bit hot too.
Are you able to help with:
    1. Additional trouble shooting advisories.
    2. Inform me ( for my benefit ) the allocation for each of the pins on the fuel relay and what each voltage should be recorded at each point when testing; 31 ?? 15-11 ?? 1-3 ?? 54-15 ??
