Ah good stuff. I think i will use a simple water only kit then.
Ahh thats interesting, im going to be using a silvertop zetec inlet manifold, so will source some injectors for that.

I will definately take you up on the offer of meeting at some stage. will have to find a meet that i can make. When and where is the next north london meet then??

i use the snow kit. http://www.snowperformance.net/products.php?p_cat=210
you do not have to use methanol as the water does the cooling. the methanol raises the octane rating which helps eliminate detonation (pinking) i bought mine direct from snow performance in the USA but there are kits on ebay sometimes.
your right, i have a reservoir and pump in the rear piped to the engine bay the an anti syphon solenoid.
i do havent been to a pf meet but could go to the north london one if you wanted a butchers
i forgot to say the other day that the standard zetec injectors are good for about 155hp then they will need changing. i'm running 30lb ones which will be ok to 220ish

Dan thanks alot for all the info! Given me alot to work with.

Ive now been looking into the aquamist or similar water inj kits. You say your system is boot mounted? i presume its a tank/pump in the boot as your running methanol aswell? Im looking at just water injection to start with so may even run it from the screenwash resevoir and try to remember not to put screenwash in there! ha. What w/m inj system are you using...theyre expensive from what i can see!!

Would be wicked to have a look over your car at some stage. Do you go to any of the meets?

hi matt, the kit i run is designed for a focus which i bought from the USA
the standard kit runs about 5-6 psi. i have what they call the big boost kit which basically just a smaller pulley for the sc which takes it to 8psi. i have also fitted a larger crank pulley which spins the sc faster for more boost and now puts out 11psi near the rev limiter. thats the max it can do as it spins at around 14-15000rpm and runs out of puff. when i had it rolling roaded at 8psi it put pot 203bhp /178 torque. i've not had it on the rollers since fitting the bigger crank pulley but ther was a nice difference.
i have stock interanals and am led to believe the blacktop is good for 250 -275 bhp before needing to upgrade things. a mate of mine who has a sc'd silvertop mk1 mondy runs at 230bhp and a 25 shot of nitrous.
i have mine set up on a unichip which cost £450 supplied, fitted and set up.
just a couple of other things which may help.. it will be better if you use rs focus spark plugs or similar as they are 1 step cooler.
get plenty of cool air into the engine bay and hot air out as the jackson supercharger isnt intercooled. i have a boot mounted water / meth injection system to hwlp keep the iat's down.
if you go on the US focus forum called focaljet look in the forced induction part as there are plenty of yanks who have supercharged the focus.
feel free to ask any more questions you may have and i'll do my best to help.
    regards

    Hi Dan.

Ive just noticed that your running a SuperC on a blacktop??

Im in the middle of doing a 2.0 blacktop conversion with a m45 eaton (CooperS) into my fiesta. Worked out boost should be roughly 10.6psi. Just wondering how yours is dealing with that boost as im intending to keep stock internals if possible.

Also, what engine manaement are you using?

Sorry to ask loads of questions but its rare to find someone with a blacktop supercharger conversion.

    Thanks alot,

    Matt
