Default petrol prices :-O

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ive-debts.html

If its a repost, just ignore the thread instead of telling me its a repost. Might be useful to those who havent seen it.

I reckon 90 percent of motorists will put up with it, the other 10 precent on low wage jobs will sell their cars.

What do you think? time for a revolution? Get labour out?

sadly nothing any of us can do will make any difference! notice how theyve effectively outlawed fuel protests! Be it under legislation against the truckers or be it misuse of the terrorism act to control free speech!

the tanker drivers went on protest meaning no fuel got to petrol stations. thats been effectively outlawed now.

Also theres been plenty of cases where the terrorism act is used to quell peaceful protest or demonstration! We are studying the effect of terrorism act on human rights and free speech and its quite shocking some of the lengths the police have used those laws to shut people up! completely the opposite of what those laws are intended for!

Thanks for that warren, I remember hearing last year/or the year before about peaceful demostrations outside houses of parliment about a guy who was protesting against the war. Not sure what law it was, but they made it so, that he couldn't protest within a mile of parliment. WTF!!!

Anyone know the fuel protesters website? Ive a feeling if something isn't done, I like many others will be down grading to 1 litre shitbox

IF they put up fuel as said earlier, it will push up inflation, so it will have a negetive effect there, as they will have to put up interest rates, slowing down what recovery the uk could have had.

I guess the government will win no matter what happens,as said the UK is pretty much fooked,or for a better word, Broken and im not sure how it can be fixed.

I don't have a problem in having to pay tax it has to happen, but I do have a problem with succesive governments wasting money hand over fist, stop wasting money and taxes can be reduced. simples!
get everyone out of afganistan for a start that will save a few bob not to mention soldiers lives.

steve

what recovery st3v3? the hype about a recovery is just lies to try and bolster consumer spending. with the spending cuts and tax increases planned and the state of our industrys, there is NO big recovery coming any time soon. Britain needs to adjust to a new lower level in line with our long term economy.

If we are brutally honest, most the industry we lost in the recession was going down anyway to be taken over by cheaper chinese companys. A recession just speeded up the inevitable and forced people to take thier heads out the sand.
