Default Buyers beware of B1G RST

i bought a rad off of him advertised used with a few dinks no leaks it turned up and was terrible shape. A few bent fins is what i was expecting there is dent nearly half an inch on the front, a very deep dent on the back easily an inch deep 4inch high 2inch wide, every mounting bracket broken off. I paid £40 for it and was def not as described i emailed him an all he sed if you want to start a paypal claim then do it if you think ive miss lead you,
now this is the good part i opened a dispute because this rad cannot be used the prick then escalated it to a claim as the seller and paypal automatically close the case saying we only investigate the delivery of items not the quality. So i am stuck with a shitty battered rad and the twat has robbed me of my money.

Just to let you all know i would stay clear he knows what hes doing!

IF you paid paypal by credit card (EVERYONE SHOULD!) then you will get your money back off the credit card company if you chase it up.

Thats what I did when paypal wouldnt refund me on something.

You have rights as a credit card purchaser.

Obivoulsy if you pay by direct debit then you're fucked and it should be a lesson to you to pay only off a credit card in future!

no mate, you worded it just fine.

it was me that miss red your topic in the first place, i saw BIG and RS and didnt pay attention to BIGRST.

My bad. but its proper gutting when you find yourself not getting the parts you wanted and then never getting a refund.

Regards Chip.

Not everyone wants to get them self in dept, and own a credit card. what your saying is everyone who buys online should get a credit card with stupid amount of intrest and be billed for it, when you can pay with your own money, and not use someone elses.

i only have my credit card registered on paypal - if i get fcuked over i simply do a credit card charge back, i get my money and then the credit card company investigates it.

IMO if you buy anything online you should use a credit card, after been done for £500+ from a company advertising products online with a very professional website. i learnt the hard way.

If you use a credit card and pay the full balance at the first bill you dont pay any charges......but you still get the protection free.

So in fact you are recieving a free service from the credit card company

cant be bad

I dont pay ANY interest on my credit card.

Purchases only attract interest if you dont pay them off at the end of the month, I always do.

If I want though, I can go and transfer the money onto my credit card FIRST with my internet banking, to put it into credit, and then pay from that and still get the protection.

So no "getting in debt" involved!

Still if you prefer to just give money away to random strangers, thats up to you, can I have some?

No Idea what the fuck you are on about to be honest.

You pay with the credit card, then pay your card bill, there is no charge and it is your money.

If you dont have any self control then its nobodys fault but your own

Paid £45 to get my alloy rad repaired and pressure tested again......you wouldn't get a rad recored for £45 without knowing someone who works in a place like that who's gonna do it for nowt (that doesn't count lol).

thats all,
i think your missing the point; you only pay interest on any credit cards if you dont clear the balance

if you have the money in your direct debit/ current account, then pay for the goods on the credit card then immediately pay the same amount from your current account to the credit card

Without throwing a spanner in the mix, the picture on the original for sale thread clearly shows that the radiator has a massive dent in the lower part of it.......
