what's happened to pf when using a mobile?

 

Safari (iPhone) shows this site perfectly... infact 75% of my post count today has been on that

ah some one else,

how do you switch it back to proper web view??? as in mobile iin opera its jumbled up the quoted replys making if difficult to read posts.

 

Was out and about earlier and wondered what was going on, Opera Mini on the N96 rendered the normal site fine. Cant get rid of it either

 

Looks wierd on my iPhone... All the pics have gone etc.

 

I sometimes use my phone to look on pf too.Ive just had a look on my phone now and it all looks different.

 

as above was on my iphone last night on here, and its now passion mobile, bloody load of shite for the iphone which is perfectly capable of viewing it normally, so is there anyway to switch it back? as i could see a link on the page.

 

As said by Ryan, it's all gone tits up on the iPhone when it was perfectly easy to view it as normal.
Need a way of putting it back to normal as this is hard work

I've never found any of the 'mobile sites' any use whatsoever. It's like trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

actually, now ive spent half hour looking around it and finding out how to do it, its alot quicker and easier as it doesnt have so much to load for each page, but unfortunatley it does miss the smilies and pictures, but i can live with that for quick scanning while out and about

 

Its just the same speed on my phone you should be able to pick like you can on google between the normal one and mobile

 

yeah i noticed this morning when i went on using my n95 8gig, the layout is totally different and a big yellow bit at the top for the stickies in each forum section, its TWICE as fast so thats great, but im not a fan of the layout though.

Wont stop me from using it mind

 

I didnt try posting on my phone, just browsing, but pictures DO work on mine, instead of the pic automatically displaying i get text saying "image" and if i click on that it loads up a new window and lets me view OR download the pic to my phone, its very quick loading the pic aswell, almost instant infact

 

I like it. Works fine on my n95 8gb. And the speed of light

 

I take my first reply back mate. When I last used my phone on the site, it was normal... Now it's all crappy like you said. As with all replies to this and other threads on this matter - it's pants! It's obviously taken time to code it etc, but that time really could have been put to better use. PF Mobile is not PF! The lack of pictures does allow some phones to load quicker, but it now looks so boring! Most phones of today can handle sigs, logos, even smilies. If they can't, there's settings to remove images in standard phone browsers.

Sorry, but this has ruined it for me!

So none of the mods can shed any light? theres not even a sticky informing anyone of the changes?
