Intercooler Pipe Sizes
3" pipes are an advantage because of the flowlimiting design of the rs500 cooler.
Ideally some of the height on the intercooler core should be sacrificed so that 90degree bends could be used to direct the airflow directly down in the endtanks for maximum flow cababilities.

but a 2.5" 2wd TB can flow over 600bhp so i dont see why a 2.5" intercooler pipe would be any different.
obviously the design of the cooler and end tanks is a major factor but the inlet and outlet surely wouldnt make any difference?
cheers

The 3" pipe into the endtank makes it easier for the airflow to make the 90degree turn down in the endtank.
I´m not talking about the flow restrictions in the pipes themselves.
And the org 2wd TB aren´t 2,5" I believe.
