my mam bought my nephew a fookin ace one off ebay... looks very hi-tech, cant wait to try it!!!

any sledging stories/injuries?

i fractured my coccyx (sp) after one suddenly stopped dead and i landed on my arse

the pain came every few months for a week, lasted years!!!

We have a good hill near my mums place and we got bored of just sledging down it so we made a ramp at the bottom.

A trip to casualty and a broken arm later for my mate who had first go meant the rest of us thought maybe it wasn't such a cool idea after all

We used to use half a 45 gallon plastic barrel or a roadsign - whatever we could find really

True, but if you know the bit your sledging on then its fine, unless you go off course!

I've got one my dad welded out of tubular steel about 20 years ago like that porsche one only wider and coast about Ł3.

Lie face down and steer by pressing feet into the ground.

There are some mental tracks close to where I live and i'd say conservatively 40mph plus

I went clean through a holly tree on it when i was about 12.......my fookin face wasnt pretty.......altho it isnt much better now
