Right looks like Im gonna have 9 points on my licence soon

What happens if I get anymore? How long would the ban be?

For that Im gonna say you were driving

 

i think if you get 12 points on your licence it is a 1 year ban could be wrong thoe so dont quate me

 

Depends what you get caught for next and whether the magistrate got some the night before!

You get caught again and you'll be in the dock, could be 30days, could be 12 mths

My advice would be to not get any more points

 

Ha ha yeah imagine that, 'I award you a years ban' - 'what's up judge, didn't get any last night??'

If YOU are unfamiliar with a certain road try slower driving it's cheaper


ps I know a certain person thats running on 15 points and NO ban so STILL driving

 

i always thought you get a automatic 6 month ban UNLESS you have a very good reason to keep your licence

if its another speeding camera fine then what they usually do is send you on a speed awareness course that YOU pay for and give you a higher fine and no points, how rigged is that

speak to shings as i think he was the constantly unlucky one and he had that i belive ( or another polite NMS member)

 

still think nige holds the record for most points on his licence

when i had 11 points i got caught speeding again. i got a letter from work saying that i needed my car to get to and from work,work unsociable hours.

they gave me about Ł180 fine and stuck another 3 points on my licence
so i was driving around on 14 points.

always had to argue when insuring my car as the insurance companys would not accept that i had all them points, kept saying you should be banned.

year later got caught again 6 month ban, never again my ass has still not recovered from cycling to work

 

i had been driving for four years and hadnt got a point.got caught doing 139 and got banned for a year and need to resit ma test next year

 

any more and you will be buying one of these

lucky you never got 28 days

was that speed slowing down aswell or did you see a copper and think "fook it, im the law"


retest is a cooont though , mine only lasted just over a hour though

where abouts were you when you did it?

 

in kilmarnock.they went past me and then put the lights on and i thot feck it by the time they turn al be gone.floored it down some back roads and on to the a77 and kept the foot planted.wiz just panickin for no reason.went off the clock and petrol wiz starting to get low so a stopped at a garage half a mile down the road only for the unmarked cops to come in and hav me caught on camera at 139

 

I drove round for over 2 years with 11 points

As far as im aware its upto the courts if you get banned or not, one of my mates had 15 points, he hadnt been banned at 12 because the magistrate didnt decide to.
