my line is a 1mb adsl and pf is flying now, was very slow that night hence the original post. as you can see the other forums were as normal for my connection speed, i would say that pf randomly does this approx 3 or 4 times a week

Its deffo wierd Matt, and teh major wierd thing is its NOT slow for everyone, so theres some pipeline problem at times, maybe one of the major servers used to route people to southern France has problems or massive traffic issues at certain times.
That was teh point of my own Vid, when its slow for others, its fast for me, proving teh server seems to be doing its job, just the connection to it is slow.
A bit like both going to scotland in cossies but oen getting stuck in traffic for 4 hrs and another getting a straight 100mph run. Cossies arent slow cos of it, they just had a bad connection to Scotland
