I am not having a go, just enjoying the debate, it has been one of the more enjoyable threads on here in a while. I 100% apologise if my comments have upset anyone, especially turbotrev.

In terms of an unfair competition, they are the only ones I like....the SAS only want to go in to battle where they will win, if not they run away, that is the philosophy.

Scoobyslayer, I don't know what my car will run over those speeds, getting it not to break has been the biggest challenge. And no, I don't think my car would keep up with the GTR.

All through this thread I thought your car was 4wd, do you get loads of wheelspin on your car?

When I had my mk1 golf caddy with 20vt in it I was told by revo that I would get less spin with a bigger turbo as the power would come in later.

I know cossie Dave doesn't get wheel spin in his 4wd escort on 18inch tyres but my car spun the wheels on a cold damp road the other day, it went at the rear. I am am hoping the 5 degree beam will help....Leda are going to make some new shocks for the rear and I am hoping someone like Mark can spec the geo and spring rates for something more supple.

Paul its a bit of a joke lol i live round the corner from rod so if some one sees a cossie they come out with i know rod (which most dont) and he has the fastest cossie . So i pulls in a fuel station the other week and with in a minute i get a young runt come over a straight away say oh i know rod and he has the fastest cossie ! So i reply with no he hasnt . This yoyngun looks puzzled i say this is the fastest cossie mate . He replies what faster than rods ? Yep i reply and carry on to leave hin to ponder this

A while later rod hears about this and replies well you have seen the size of him if he says his cossie is quicker then it is lok

If the cams are quite big and specced with something different in mind, then this can have a huge effect on performance and spool low down.

IMO often cams that are too big, can just hurt performance everywhere for such very small gains at the top. Something a bit milder can really work wonders.

Don't get to meet the Kids Trev not my scene. I tell it as it is im afraid. From a different generation all you lads do now is talk mostly tripe on the web & talk a Fast car. We produced the goods in my day & certainly didn't ask Tom, Dick & his Harry like the lads do now. If you want to produce a fast car go & do it you are amongst many that don't need help to do that or so you think. If when you fail to achieve it my advice is ring one of the few Tuners that can help. But please don't start thinking you know more than Mark Shead, even the old Moaner knows more than almost anyone as he actually produced Noahs YB engine. When its finished I will pay for your entry to V Max or T Velocity so we can all can see just how good you are. Now I cant be fairer than that can I. You were are rather Jovial Topic at lunchtime today at M.A.Developments.

I never have or will claim to know as much as any tuner, why would I?
I know nothing compared to guys like Mark,
I have the up most respect for him even though he don't work on my car.
He give's good advise on here and sound answers, shame you can't take a leaf out of his book with all your knowledge and experience as well.

I'm not really into having a fast cossie, I like the odd drag racing but I just like having an animal of a car tbh.
My quickest at pod so far is 12.3 @125mph so it's not slow
(That was also only on 26/28lb of boost too just to aid traction a bit as it was on road tyres)
But I must say your goading me into this top speed malarkey slowly....
I have no idea how fast it would go to be honest but Im hoping my car will be done early next year and I'll be in a position to take you up on that offer....

I've been active on passionford for over 13 years now.
FB also has a good couple of groups going as well.
It all interests me wether someone is doing an 800hp build or a 300hp build.

Wouldn't worry mate he's used to having loads of cock gobblers on their knees in front of him so automatically thinks he's above everyone else. The guy hangs around with a few guys at a garage and pays them to work on his car but the way he puts it accross he's hob nobbing with wills and Kate of a weekend lol.
