yep not breaking!braking! got a monster truck video (yeah i know!) and instead of using 3 foot discs(thats apparently what would be required with 2000bhp and that weight and those wheels!) they use a truck brake disc attached to the diff giving them a 19:1 advantage!!they did a demo and fook me they stop quick!could this not be used on a race car or summit? just wondering,not gonna fit one to me xr3i!

 

Would be alright until the diff does actually break

I'm sure you would get into problem with the rear end locking up though.

what???i said i had no intention of it!the brake on a monster truck is not fitted to the input shaft anyway!its on the front of the diff,and have seen that bigfoot runs an internal disc brake on its differentials! i was just looking at it from a technical point of view that it would be easier to put a smaller disc on the diff than get ever increasing sizes of wheels and tyres on your car to cater for heavier and heavier brake setups!
