Default Focus RS Boosting Problem :(

Basically, car was deciding whether to boost off the standard boost gauge and light up the wheels, boost to 0.5bar or boost to 1bar. Turning the ignition off and back on had no effect.

Took car to Sabre on Saturday with hopes of it being rectified but to no avail.

We thought maybe the boost solenoid was to blame, so we replaced that and still the problem persists. The actuator has been checked and I have also been told it isn't anything mechanical.

1st point of call I was told to look at is the wiring loom to the boost solenoid, but how do I go about checking this.

Another note, the car doesn't boost past 1bar now it's always there, it seems with the wiring being 'moved' it has affected something, so could be wiring related. I don't have ramps so could be hard to get under the car properly, but unsure what to do for the best.

I don't really want to run direct boost and a boost controller if possible. Any help appreciated.

To be fair, I called them on Saturday morning to see if they could take a look, and they fit me in the same day. So as it went into requiring more diagnosis, we ran out of time.

o right, well I would be running a fly wire/wires from ecu to solenode, if that works then you can do it permanently.
