after selling my series 2 rs turbo one night I bought a few others.. tried a good few cars that I didn't like.. so went back to a rs.. a series one custom.. loved it but just wasn't quick ..after getting addicted to quarter mile drags in the mad s2 I sold that I regret selling I decided to buy a 4wd turbo car that would be good for pod days .. here she is !

just 70k low owners mint car with new bits and later evo interior I picked it up quickly ages ago.. HOWEVER it isn't no way as near as quick as my rs turbo was ..and then got dusted by a cosworth stage 4 ..so bought a few goodies.. after fitting a new fuel pump,fuel reg,exhaust tubular manifold,bigger injectors,uppping the boost from .8psi to 1.2bar boost it finally felt quite punchy and loved sideways action lol. now im looking for more power so maybe time to forge the engine and run a gt30 with gate and screamer and have it mapped with a chip etc anybody had one? I chose the evo 3 as they weight 1200kg so power to weight with 4wd should be good on forged engine gt30 etc down the pod.. ill attend in a few months to see what it would run;-)

btw I seen a focus rs running 400bhp package from jamsport.. gave it a go ..and was disappointed with the focus.. whats wrong with these new fords they really aint as quick as the old skool cossies etc ..revved the evo to 6k dumped the clutch and literally left him where he was.. felt sorry for him so gave it a go at rolling start and just pulled away every time.. saw a couple of other cars like subarus and destroyed them too.. I love the old skool cossies and rs turbos etc but whats wrong with the new cars the power delivery is crap

just moved on really .kept my head down and been busy with other things in life etc drove the evo for a few months and now parked it up for a few months till proper summer comes and then may GT30 the evo and shove 2 bar up its arse lol:cry: forge the engine etc however in my heart id love a rs turbo again or a 3 door cossie so who knows

would love another big power rs turbo running zetec turbo again but been there so maybe buy a black mint 3door with the 500bits to make it look better.. may use the evo until I get hold of a good 3 door cossie as they hold increase in value

Weight at a guess. Aren't they around 1467kg? Gives you a good head start on the power to weight ratio. For his 400bhp and 1467kg you'd only need 327bhp with 1200kg.

yeah after the mods I know its running between 310 and 330hp but not been on rolling road so wouldn't be sure yet.. but destroyed the 400hp jamsport rs even rolling :grin:

martins a good man he mapped my rs turbo and made it quick and drive lovely.. aint seen him about on his lambo but if I did I would definitely try my luck in the evo.. especially if its off the lights as I love doing FULL BORE standstill launches
