my names lee costello I own that silly arched mad
mk1 escort special saloon I was wondering how many people on here like thunder/special saloons am hopefully when I get better this year after a blood vestle burst in my stomach :(
Am gonna compete in may at brands hatch in the cscc special saloons series with the great gentleman dan minton an his father in the legendary escort his dad also built like mine just pure amazing an to see am be with these cars are coming out is just disbelief
I have lots of photos of them ill share on here too as I have time being off work recovering am hoping simon allaway in the esprit comes out in 2013 his cars like a rocket
Is anyone else following it an into these awesome cars :)

Hi mark yer that's classic thunder I used to be in it there's no classic about it now ex touring cars sneraking in.
ctcrc put the name classic thunder an added saloons years later but
The modern stuff in there to me isn't a thunder saloons
cscc have got a good idea on a cut off date now keep cars out like dave tetleys manta stars an stripes mike bratbys imp an mini skoda's mk2 escorts
Classic thunders just like euro saloons really
Still good varients are fantastic an each car is special but there way of the mark now calling it thunder saloons

Love these pics I was at back of grid then didn't make qualifing the starter broken the gear shattered so bumping it I flooded it never had that problem before I hammered it from back of ther grid bout 18 cars got to 4th behind andy gardner in his firenza had to pull in it overheated on 8th lap was a pure buzz an honour to be out with them fellas
