We used a GT35 on the Gumball 2.0 engine and kept up pretty well (until I crashed ), that was a proper angry sounding engine, Lee will agree I'm sure. AFAIK the first YB to get a GT35 was my 2.3 Millington and that was a match made in heaven, it just worked so well I think thats the reason that everyone went GT35 but it just didn't work as well on a 2.0, maybe I'm getting old but I love the way my RS500 drives with a GT3071 and 2400cc, put your foot down at any rpm and the boost gauge springs into action.

Oh and it does 2.5 to 60 and puts power down it first gear.

I'm guessing you meant motorway and not road though now
Jimbo i have 1000bhp on the gas it would leave that sluggish old thing for dead if you want to start talking big. GET BACK TO THE SUBJECT.

Get out would it rod, you couldn't put it down in first nor second that thing would be gone, your car is straight line 3rd gear onward. That isnt what 'the road' is all about. Your car other than straight line motorway wouldn't be I front of that car IMHO.

That was only put because ajamesc said there's no other road going yb quicker and I disagreed that's all

ok me and mark had a gt35 on our 3dr with autronic sm4 and at 1.6 bar boost i had a proper tear up with a t4 8 inj 3dr with 2.2bar boost and my 3dr would just leave it for dust .

in 3dr and 4th gear i would pull at least 100 mitres on him.

i had standard compression with pocketed pistons and worked head and custom cams

gt35 is not that laggy at all, its alot better than a t4 equipped yb

As I explained to you earlier the threads were cleaned by a mod and you have ended up being show as the thread starter
The mod who cleaned it will be along shortly no doubt to deal with this issue
It is easier for him to deal with this than another mod

it has not been changed to your name
call it a bb glitch if you like but I'm sure you will have noticed other threads where for example a spammer has been banned the next person who posted ends up being the thread starter and has an odd unusual looking first post on the thread.
If a thread starter's post is removed the next member who posted is then the thread starter
That's how it appears to me on the other threads I have seen
why my first post was removed I don't know but that's how you have ended up looking like the thread starter
NO ONE has started this thread in your name

I think you will find you are the first post after the post was cleaned up thats why you are now down as the thread starter.

If anybody with half a brain looks you can see you quoted a previous post so you coudn't have started the thread.

I hope this helps

i edited tony's original thread as there was a load of gt35 discussion when the thread was about t38 - t4

so i shoved all the stuff in here

Andy you wasnt the original starter tony was but i removed his post so you lot could carry on with gt35 talks but me removing tony's post put you at the top ! i can the whole thread if required ?

I can vouch though that a gt35 works just fine on a 2.0l yb with out surge or lag..

The longer rod configuration does help though ..

i know what he runs as iv spoke to him about it at coombe the other year when i was with danny as dannys was running the same config as him..

Std stroke crank wrc length rods and a short skirt slipper piston on a std bore..

Still gives just under 2000 cc but changes the rod angle and lets it rev better and after i bought the said gt35 and bolted to a std 2.0l it didnt seem as good although the engine specs were way different..

Dannys escort wasnt laggy at all and didnt surge and it was fucking quick!!!lol

As I said, think he was giving a very rough spec? In the same way that the T4 car having 8 injectors is also not relevant information
