Escort ones and Sapph ones are different, the output shaft on the Escos box is different to Sapph.. However, someone having fitted an Escos box into your Sapph can't be ruled out, so worth checking the numbers I guess!

When I made enquiries at Ford I was told the same

Just dont order one off Pete at Ashfield like I did

The term mint obviously has a different meaning to him than to me. Charged me about Ł50 for it if I remember rightly and when I got it it was cracked to fook - no better than the one that I wanted to replace!

Would be good to know whether Powerflex/deflex have started making these for sure?

deflex dont make these donoghts

theres ares for granadas and 2wd sierras not 4wd

these are very hard to het hold of ford dont do the propshaft anymore so that rules that out as i went to buy the prop just for the donught

the only car that has the same donught is either a 2.9 or 2.0 xr4x4

escort cosworth are a lot thinner due to having a longer input shaft so this wont work

ive already had this problem and it took me months to test and try things

in the end i found a xr4x4 breakers and he supplied me with a mint one

ok it had one slight split oubout 1 cm long but hadnt gone through

heres his number if anyone is interested

01702 433233

just ask for the donught off a 2.9 or 2.0 xr4x4

hope this helps

p.s do not fit a deflex one onto a 4wd as it doesnt have the bearing in the middle to centre the prop shaft up

i did this and got to about 110mph and it shock the car badly drove through it and it snapped the transfer box in half just a warning to u peeps
