3dr values?
Seem to be all over the place at the minute - some really nice car's on the market, seems to be around mid-late teens for a decent usable car that doesn't require a full restoration but their are some good cheaper car's too but i'm sure they will go up in price this year - with the 500 just so far from the reach of the average car enthusiast the 3dr is the next best thing.
10k plus if you dont want a money pit, 15k if you want a very nice usable example, 20k plus if you want the best.
and rising fast in this double dip recession.
But some owners get confused as to where their cars fit in the above, normally the ones with snotters

trouble is, i dont want to price it too low & do myself out of money. on the other hand i wouldnt want to price it too high & it no sell then evryone thinks there's something wrong with it & not even bother coming to look at it. its hard to gauge a price & there's not really many for sale. aslo you never know what they really sell for
yours was probbaly worth more than the £16k pete ,it was the ultimate 3dr ,super clean ,low miles ,history, and a nice bit of usable power

The low mileage 3 Door wasnt actually sold at that auction.
The car was actually unsold as it didnt reach the reserve.
Car is still with the owner, and will be staying there for a while.

paul ,how much lower would you devalue a fully restored 3dr to as near concours as can be got over a car that is on original paint mate ?

I would prefer a bare shell repaint to a tired existing coat.
Bloody hell failed to reach reserve, they must have been nuts thinking they would get more than that, I assume then the auctioneer was bidding it to the wall to try and get it past reserve and the 30k was not even a genuine bid.
[QUOTE=PAUL S;5913988]hard to say, Jason above is your man as he is now the 3dr registrar.

Thanks Paul.
As you say the above is definately 1 way to look at it.
Values vary from car to car.
The question is:
Do you want a totally original untouched car that needs work
OR
Do you want a very well restored car that needs no work as it has been painted etc.
Condition of the actual car, and originality of parts (correct date stamps etc) is a big factor involved
Remember these cars are 25 years old and at some point they may have been scuffed, scratched etc
