Finally the new bw turbo's getting fitted
At long last, some fifteen months after the GT35r gave up the ghost, the Borg Warner turbo is going on the car
The Primary Designs manifold has had a little work done as well
Please excuse the pieces of dough on the wall behind the turbo, Mandy has gone all 'Good Life' and started to make her own bread lol

It's a hybrid of the S300sx and the equivilent EFR, so the EFR compressor wheel on the S300sx
Mark will be able to explain better. It's on a 1.00 exhaust housing currently, may change to a 1.10 depending on what we get on the rollers. Not looking for out-and-out top end power on the road, but will be for her final outing on the airfield....

Also will be running the Tremec 'box and hydraulic clutch when she hits the road again. Will be alot quicker off the line as the Tremec has a shorter 1st gear, the Quaife T5 in it previously was quite a tall 1st gear. I've recorded over 50mph in first with the 'old' box lol

Me too Rick, Mark fitted a similar one to an Escos without the different compressor wheel and mapped to 1.3 bar for running in, and saw all 1.3 bar by just over 3300rpm, mine should be seeing full boost (2.6 bar) by circa 4000rpm

Ha ha ha, I never say never Phil, but it finally looks like a possiblilty mate, will get her going once the box is in and just enjoy driving her again. As and when circumstances allow, Rod and I will be looking at both of our swansongs in a joint top speed event, and hopefully going out in a blaze of glory

Yeah, got every thing ready to fit mate, only have to mod the tunnel, get the pedal box out to modify for the hydraulic clutch, fit the master cylinder and reservoir, adapt the prop to fit the Tremec box, then sundries like getting a speedo cable made, and FINALLY fitting some gauges, had all of Rods instrument gauges for the last five years, so really have to get them fitted, most of them are essential for engine safety tbh. I've put it off and put it off, but realise they are a neccessity when things are right on the ragged edge....

I don't think Ade is aiming quite that high.. As it seems the next time Ade does top speed, I think the plan is for Rod to be there too, and Rod is hoping for more like 210 I think!
Don't think many people realise that Ades car has already been over 185mph at brunters in its previous spec.. So it is a very fast car.

Happily retired
Im Ok but falling off a ladder at 66 aint helped by left arm is still not right after 6 weeks, so cant get over to Marks. I used to bounce but not any more.
I paid for the girdle this week so maybe mine will progress soon.
