ill get shot for saying this but i believe the no.1 that went to sweden was actually not the real no.1 but a copy and the real no.1 is still in the uk, it used to belong to a mate of mine who sold it to the guy in sweden, he told me himself it wasnt the real one sadly he has since died so i cant tell you any more than that apart from the area the real no.1 was supposed to be kept in
but as you say he has now passed away so who knows |

story goes, as far as i remember, that this number 8 car was the first to be made into a rs500 at the factory but was kept by ford as a training car.
it was later given to eggenberger as a present for winning the championship and thats where my m8 got it from. |
Some of these old wifes tales make me smile

some of these so called experts that use their position to their own advantage make me smile ;)

I assume its this one that came up for sale a few years ago in the UK that was brought over from europe at the time.
From memory it was gifted to one of the Texaco drivers http://img.photobucket.com/albums/07.../FordRS500.jpg edit just double checked against the database and Daz has this one down as 7 so maybe they did a couple from the early protos Eggenberger still has the Bastos Spa winning car and a warehouse of spares - yours for Ģ200k |

Isn't there one of these on show at sparkford motor museum? been a few years since i have been but recall one there with a few stickers on it.
*edit* the stickers where "duckhams" or something similar if i remember correctly. A quick google has a cossie on there in black without livery |
