On the face of it, this seems a sensible argument. Until you get into the nitty gritty that is. If the someone nicks a high performance car (mainly from a house burglary) and the police see the car, how do they catch it if they do not have something tasty as well. TV programmes always show a helicopter, but their flying hours have been reduced due to budget cuts, they are governed by very strict CAA regs, so any sign of inclement weather/cloud they are not in play.

Lots of stolen motors are never seen again, so forensics are out of the question.

I'm not sure there is really an answer, other than the thieving scum bags should be in jail.

i just know enough about the system to know it doesnt work like a lot of people think. eg registered sex offenders number 32000, actual number of paedos in the uk suspected to be near 300000.

Its not practical to have full time supervision of all registered offenders let alone suspected ones.....
Haha I know what you mean mate sorry if I offended you by saying you were in the police ? Any way it's depressing this convo bout the plod, back to the does talk

Everybody speeds, nobody buys a fast car or bike for the road to do 70mph so the folk saying that you weren't forced to speed are hypocrites as everybody speeds.

There doesn't have to be the white squares on the road, other fixtures that are at a known fixed point apart can be legally used.

And the reason for this is because when speed limits were introduced , they were not based on the cars braking capability of that era !

Speed limits were based on human reaction time , yes cars have evolved ....

Humans have not so the speed has remained the same , dont forget you have to allow for the slowest reaction time , that being someone of an eldery nature whos reaction time is slower that someone in their 20s

Its simple really, people behave when they know the cops are around hence they wont catch anyone in marked cars.

hence you need undercover cars.
i completely disagree, what would be most beneficial would be a vast increase in the number of marked cars, that way people would slow down not just get a fine. the simple fact is 3 points doesnt make somebody slow down it just makes them more eagle-eyed

nah I dont think so ontheway. its about forcing cunts to change their ways or loose the right to drive. You cant do that with more marked cars as there will never be enough marked traffic cars to make people change their ways.

however hit them in the pocket, make them look a cunt stuck on the poor peoples transport(aka public transport), loose them thier job due to convictions, and eventually even the most retarded driver will comply for the easier life.
