Nice work Smitty! I have owned cosworths continually since 1999, I'm on 5 years for the Escort in July, and my saff I have had since late 2006 as well. But I have had 3 other saffs since 1999, never been wihout one ...
I think Marco has owned his 3 door for close to 20 years now, fantastic car, very well modded as well.

Legend
45k in 10 years my arse! I bet the dash has been out more times than the car
P.S you blanked out your numberplate in the 2nd photo but can read them all in the first one [except the only letter you can read in the first]. Normally your photo work is a higher standard Smitty!

Same as mate, brought mine back in may 2006 and have never looked back, toyed with the idea of an e46 m3 but after driving both the smg and manual i will have my low comp cosworth any day.
Got to love it she's my baby Lol

Yeh there mint. I know there not the best car out there and there not getting any younger but there just a classic car and i love every minute of driving it. At least when they do go wrong most diy mechanics can fix them and look after them.

Nice to see you've kept it this long!
Within a few months I will also own my 24v sapph for 15 years. Unfortunately it has had a harder life than most cossies (I did 270k km in 15 years and now at total 410k km), as a result the shell is rusted too far to pass the MoT now. However, it will be reshelled. But even deciding to give up this shell after 15 years wasn't nice.

Happily retired
Well mines done 47906 miles in 20 years & only 6000 in the last 10 years. Its a bit like me a bit long in the tooth to be belting around all the time these days. Still love it though.

Seems a bit of a milestone
Here it was on 20th January 2001 the night i picked it up
and today (20th January 2011) as went out for a spin and stopped for lunch
Bored of it? Not really.
Maybe time for an Imola Red E46 M3 with a bit of saving, we'll see how it goes.
Anybody owned one longer?

10 years for me this year too.
There old bone shakers but they put a smile on our faces and this is what owning a cossie is about. They can test us at times though but at least they are easy to work on.

Now they're 22 & 19, and I've got a bit more disposable income, it's time to show it some love and do all those little things that I've been putting off for ages.

I've lost count the amount of times I said to the wife I'm going to sell the Cossies, but luckily kept them every time.
