Is it a E36 or E46? you need some more info really before you can put a value on it, as it could be a standard car with the acs options or a full blown acs car.

engine size? spec?

rallycross 19-01-2011 07:01 PM

scnhitzer is usually just accessories which could be ordered when new off the bmw extras list,

wheels
bodykit
pedal covers
other trims

hence just a cosmetic upgrade not worth much more.

could be wrong though but unless it comes with a bill from when it was converted I wouldnt believe it.

Sorry chaps, i'm new to Bmw's

its an E36, 323 . not sure on the engine size, would i be right in assuming its a 2.3? He wants 1500 quid for it. I fancy something new as a daily. Its all good, i'm going up this weekend to have a look at it anyway.

LHD220Turbo 19-01-2011 07:46 PM

coupe i assume?

323i is a 2.5l, the 323i had 170hp and the 325i (also 2.5l) had 192hp

the AC stuff is just extras but on a 323i i doubt it was factory fitted, its probably priced about right but its not cheap by any means

i sold my 323i for £1500 this time last year, and it was mint, 323i are a strange one as most will go for the 328i or 325i

323's from when i was looking don seem to fetch as much as as said above the 325 and 328s get the money then price jumps agian upto m3's but i paid £1900 for a 328 vert in good nick dropped on h & r coilys. if its what you want though then i dont see £1500 a bad price to pay for a good car. 323 is restricted by the inlet so 325 inlet will up the power nice for you too

Jim Galbally 20-01-2011 12:51 PM

when did u get a 328? any pics?

massivewangers 20-01-2011 12:53 PM

I thought the E36 325i was only 170bhp? And the 328i was 190bhp?

God BMW don't half making it confusing :wall:

rallycross 20-01-2011 03:26 PM

its very very unlikely to have an LSD in it.
Easy way to find out of course!

If it has you could probably sell the diff for £500 to anyone doing track days with a 328.

bristol_fez 20-01-2011 09:01 PM

The 323i is a 2.5 170 bhp engine. I own one and it is a very good car but be careful as there is a lot of rubbish about. the ACS bits could consist off a front splitter/bumper, rear valance, side skirts, spoiler, exhaust tips, various interior trim pieces. It could break for a few quid or would be a good daily if it is a tidy one.

Jim Galbally 21-01-2011 08:42 AM

the 325s and 328s have near identical peak power output IIRC, but the 328 is still a much quicker car with more torque.

lots of people put the 325 inlets on the 328s which seems to "de-restrict" them and give them 200+bhp

LHD220Turbo 21-01-2011 09:50 AM

aye ^ a common conversion is to put the inlet & throttle body from a 325i onto the 328i
