Help how much is this mk1 escort worth?

Ok guys i went to take a look at this today as im looking for a new project now the saph is finished,

Im really looking for informed advice/opions on what its worth as im kinda out of comfort zone,

Fromm the pics you can see its a mk 1, according to the log book its a 1.1 so nothing as special as a mexico,

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...k1_scort_8.jpg

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...k1_scort_5.jpg

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...k1_scort_2.jpg

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...ev/Tev/037.jpg

The floor pan has been converted to accept a t5 box

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...k1_scort_6.jpg

And also to accept longer rear shocks(capri rear end)

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o.../mk1_scort.jpg

The floor pans solid just needs cleaning up,

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...ev/Tev/056.jpg

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...ev/Tev/057.jpg

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...ev/Tev/060.jpg

The floor pan ad chassie legs r mint, The boot floors mint,
the other few areas that need attention like the front valence all have replacement pannels to go on

Frm the mountain of parts that i saw the car looks 90 complete including a 1600crossflow annd 4 speed box! will just need the odd bits to complete,

They guy selling i wants £1500

Is this about right??

cheer jay

thats certainly about the right money for a solid mk1 project these days. has it got all the glass/lights ect? its the little bits that end up costing more than u think. would be a great project though and make a superb car :top:
the front arches just don't look right to me but i can't tell why :?

dave cos4x4 24-01-2010 04:11 PM

i think that its cheap, get it bought.:)

bang on the money maybe even cheap tbh m8,if you dont buy it at that then someone else will soon i would think, they are proper round turrets as well for decent coil overs

t4 and greys 24-01-2010 04:22 PM

you would be an assclown not to buy at that price :cry::cry:;-)

steel bubble arches are worth a few quid alone !!
also look to me as if whoever it was was planning making it into grp4 spec ... just hasnt put link boxes on it yet ????
or maybe he was planning using slipper springs??

anyway bargain for that price and think you know it too!!!;-)

Yer it has steel forrest arches and they have been tubed properly all wileded and to be fair the rear only need a slight bit of cleaning up to finish off,

i would be thinking of finishing off the conversion and going for a Grp4 spec rear end the cars in the perfect stage for it,

I though i may h ave come across a bargin yes but at the same time
i wanted to check with people in the know,:king:

Cos they've not had the excess trimmed off prior to fitting them from when they've been pressed....(the bit that's already welded)
