No I get that mate - but they're remakes of the old bikes so all the geometry is old skool - quite different to the latest bikes.

I used to ride Thursday Nights and Sunday Mornings.. was quiet... we got on well with a lot of the youngs uns, they just thought we were crackers.. and shit.. haha...
I ride with the RAD BMX lads... a lot of them guys are old timers - the biggest ex pro I really ride with and know as such is Alex (Leach I think) he used to ride for S&M in the 90's... theres a few guys from the 80's I know too.

Thats because:
1 I am a relative Novice - I can get about 3 inches out of the vert
2 If it went wrong there were 40 blokes to make sure I knew about it.
3 If it went wrong as well as the 40 blokes there was a street section to head butt.
On that night I actually hoped 29inches - which was top novice - the pro's were up at about 38 inches if I remember correctly.. but they were spinning through 360 or tail whipping the bar at my 29inch height.

29" is pretty damned good for a relative novice
I think at my best I could hop around bar height but I don't ride enough anymore to hop like that.

I was chuffed - Bunny hops and stupid jumps were always my thing BITD as we never had ramps...
RIding the vert is hardcore - when I start again this year dropping in and getting out onto the top deck will be my goal.

Got a Stolen Heater in mint green, Animal pivotal seat and post, odyssey Twisted PC pedals. Did a lot of riding in me youth. Bought this to ride and hang out with my then 15year old nephew to keep him out of trouble lol. Busted my arse on of them ramps haha and haven't really ridden much since then. I don't heal as quick in my old age as I did in my younger years nor did I have to work to pay off the mortgage back then either lol. I'll get a pick up if anyone is interested.
My nephew has a Sunday Vinnie edition, sunday forks, WTP cranks, animal stem, and a bunch of other stuff I forgot.

I also had a Raleigh Stiker. My favourite memory was my eldest brother fixing a puncture on the front wheel, taking it out then popping a wheelie and the front wheel coming off! Eat the concrete oh brother of mine....

I just need to get a backwheel for mine and it will be on the road again!
Was very shocked when the bike guy wheeled his one out and said he could get it for Ł99 brand new as it was old stock!
Get some pics of your one up Al
