driving along today starts hereing a grinding noise from the rear of the car, came and went 2-3 times so when i stoped for fuel i went to the rear wheels.
rocked the rear drivers,seamed solid.
rocked the rear passenger and if feels very loose.
when i shake it you can see the brake drum moving about an 8th of an inch.

im thinking wheel bairing but both have been replaced within the last 18 months?

any thorts would be welcomed

Most likely bearings, probably not installed correctly.
Hammered in, instead of pressed in.

Could also be the 4 bolts that hold the bearing hub come loose from the back plate.

sounds like wheel bearing. How long ago where changed. If it was done in less than a year i would take it back to who fitted them.

Sounds like the bearing is well gone if there is that much play in it. I personally wouldn't drive it further than you have to, a friend of mine's clio's wheel bearing all broke to bits, ended up knackering the stub axle too.
