Default iphone question????

sold my iphone and need to post it off but do i need to erase it first as dont want the guy that has bought it getting any info of mine and do i need to cancel my itunes account dont want him downloading stuff and me the one getting charged.

Settings >> General >> Reset (Right at the bottom) >> Reset All Settings

I'd go for an iTunes reset to be fair. All the iPhone reset does is "delete" the data on it - doing it through iTunes overwrites the OS with a completely new fresh OS.

Just connect to your computer, open iTunes and click RESTORE and load up the latest firmware. When it says to activate it, don't bother and just unplug it. Sorted.
