my sub has just stopped working and now my amp has a light flashing saying `protect` any ideas?

protect probably means it's either got too hot so has shut down or has blown a fuse due to something nasty occuring. check all the wiring and fuses and if all that is ok then the amp is probably fubar

cheers, hope its not fubared its a really nice jbl, but i have had it sat up 6 months probably only been back in my car a week checked fuses etc

check the wiring to the sub? could it be shorting out or anything somewhere?

sounds like the amp is fucked,take the wires tht go to speakers see if it does it still,if it does its fubard
