is it safe to run 1.2 bar with standard ecu and no chip..200sx
200sx s14a
currently not even holding 0.9 bar but gonna get that sorted. would it be dangerous for the engine tho? got a few mods including upated fuel pump? whats the deal? |
I wouldnt, When I turn up the boost on road S14s I usually dont go any more than 0.9 bar maybe 1 Bar max. And with that I always fit an adjustable fuel actuator to turn up the fuel pressure a bit.

as above 1 bar max even at a bar I would feel uneasy without having it checked.

wheres all the tech experts?
was hoping for answers.... |
Well it depends!
You need to get your fueling checked... many places can do that for you - where are you? Alex |
1.2 bar is stretching the standard T28 to its limits, 1 bar is much safer. Also its worth noting that at this level of boost (1 bar), the standard "yellow" injectors will be maxed out above 6k rpm ish anyway
standard fuel pressure would be ok but an uprated pump, such as the common walbro 255 fuel pump is a must really :king: |
