it was my car they used for the reconstrution, the copper on the programme did say it was an xr3i that was seen but im unsure if it was. The TV company approached the RS Owners Club specifically asking for a white series 2, surely if it was an xr3i used in the crime they could have quite easily got hold of one. They said they were going to give me different plates for the filming but they never did so if your eagle eyed you can see my reg on it (G835). Also helped in the reconstruction and in a few scenes you can make out me and our dragon in the car

Does anyone remember in the early to mid 90's a music video that was on MTV when I was a kid, I cant remember the song but some girls were driving on a beach on a VW beetle and it gets stuck so a chap in a Red S2 RST with green stripes in the bumpers not black, dice hanging from the mirrors etc pulls up to them thinking hes the boy trys to pull them out and gets stuck as well, then another car think it was a bigger 4x4 came along and did the same thing. How the hell I remember the S2 so well I don't know as I was about 14 and it was a school holiday when I remember seeing it. Would love to see / hear the video again.

Yes mate, a few years ago now: I went along as an extra for Fast Car magazine many moons ago now.
