Default Breaking...

i just browsed the cos parts for sale and amazed to see how many cars are being broken, i know its the only way to make more money back but i do think its a shame that cars are getting broke for spares and possibley wont see the road again...

the thing s they need to be broke to keep others alive

shame

Its swings and round abouts tbh. Escorts and 3Drs 95% of the time continue to live on, but its the saph shells that get scrapped most of the time. As you say though cars getting broken up means others live on.

got to be good at saving though as if your like me you get money bit by bit when breaking and you spend it as you get it instead of getting a lump sum

Why dont people just keep the standard parts and then they have the option to put back to standard and sell for less, then sell the decent parts and make the money back that way.

i was stripping mine down to get ready for a full on rebuild again but to a very high spec

i walked in the garage yesterday and thought fuk it, i carnt be arsed and want something else, plus mine will always be worth more in bits than a complete car

i'm having the exact problem at the moment; i've got my Saff Cossie up for sale at the moment at cheap money for the spec, and not had much interest so far

if that fails i will break it, but it will kill me to do it and it goes against my ethos......but money talks sadly

Someone buy my Cossie!!!!

I never thought i would break mine and if the engine was running it would have been sold as a complete car but without a lump its not worth f all hency why im breaking.

But the shell will be sold and built up again so it wont be scrap, would rather keep the shell and build it myself if it came to that!

If it wasnt for cars being broke itd be much harder for the gooduns to stay alive, so i think its good.

The fact there is a market for parts from the broke cars proves the scene is strong still. Ie they not just being run in to the ground and scrapped as there are loads of people keen to buy the bits.

Its a fucking godsend when you got a car where loads of people are breaking them.
