Anybody spending money at the moment

Is anybody out there in a position to spend money at the moment, still splashing out on cars, bikes holidays and luxuries or you all tightening your belt and not spending more than a tenner:cry: Fair play if you are as your helping the economy:top:

Ive seen loads more cars for sale at the side of the road on my travels, I cant help thinking that more people are feeling the pinch?

Cossie Helen 26-07-2008 10:08 PM

Holiday to Thailand, lot of money :wall:

Coldo 26-07-2008 10:09 PM

Been thinking about this alot, ive recently finished education and moved into FT work, so my wage is 3x what it was this time last year, so yes, i am spending like fuck just now

Just been and blew £2k+ in Ibiza, £££'s on clothes before i went too and going down to TOTB in the morning, will be buying a new car in the next month or so aswell. Fuck the credit crunch, i work to be able to afford to do the things i want to do.

If or when the time comes where i am living paycheck to paycheck then yes, i probably will hold up on the luxuries to help myself get on top of my finances again, at the moment though, im doing fine.

This credit crunch thing doesn't seem to exist as my customers are spending more than ever, I have more and more customers coming on the scene every week and they are more interested in when the can have the parts rather that how much they will cost!!

eddie_od 26-07-2008 10:21 PM

credit crunch not affected me at the moment.

still spending as much as i wouldve been.

Madbradz 27-07-2008 10:27 AM

Its got me :(

I Run a team of window blind fitters, But all the companys we do it for are just not getting the work in!

~nomad~ 29-07-2008 07:30 AM

things ain't too bad for me, although I am in the process of moving on from the family business, so likely to feel the pinch shortly, thats nothing to do with the credit crunch thou tbh. Also have had a flat on the market for over a year now and its just not selling! Have tenents in paying the morgage thou, so not all bad.

rog 29-07-2008 07:45 AM

Getting married in 2 months, so thats my own personal credit crunch.....
I don't think things are that bad at the moment but i do see it getting worse with the reported hikes in gas/electric bills, and I filled up my 1.2 fiat Punto the other day, it cost me £50 from empty, never been as much as that, it usually lasts me a month though so can't complain really.
