12 DAYS AND I AM OFF TO DUBAI, I cannot WAIT!! My sis lives out there so I will be spending the days by the pool while my sister works soaking up the rays (with my sunblock on of course pmsl ), and the nights out clubbing it’s gonna be great!!! Although I may need another relaxing holiday when I return

Everyone keeps trying to persuade me to stay out there and get a job etc, but I doubt VERY much I’m going to be able to cope with the heat pmsl

I am petrified of the flight over there like, i have to do the 15 hour flight on my own with a crossover i have this bad feeling i'm going to be strolling around Doha airport trying to find the Dubai flight pmsl

 

we are off there next week, i know about 4 people in the last year alone who have moved out there to work must be something good going on

well my sis went out this weekend and ordered a brand new Golf R32, she bought a laptop, mobile phone, and was out on "brunches" all weekend, she also lives in a big apartment on the 47th floor overlooking the marina i think all that alone is reason enough to want to move there you get so much more for your money

 

jealous No been twice as to a 15 flight where you going from ? I went from Birmingham on both occassion flew with Emerits superb flight only 7 hrs
by the way its a cracking place

 

I'm going from Manchester to Doha then to Dubai i'm sure it's 15 hours...i'll check my tickets ive just gone off what people told me...i hope it isnt that long i'll be lonely

I am looking forward to it, just a bit worried about how hot it is going to be, been checking met office and its saying 40 for this week!!!!! i'll melt

 

you'll love it - I had a fab time when I was out there!!

My flight time was 9hrs from Manchester T3 - emirates 1st class

Be sure to stop in the Radisson SAS on Jumeria Beach (sp) as it's where I stayed and I really liked it!

Just make sure you haven't stepped in anything on the plane

 

I am staying with my sister, she's got all sorts planned including skiing and brunch at the hilton, and some other fancy place i cant remember

 

Awesome place, loved it when i went.

AS for the flights :O how long, thats over twice as long as normal!!!!!!! How much was your flight? I think you might have saved yourself Ł50 but in the long run you will regret that.


Gotta say though it is a cool place, try snowboarding! And also a must do is the desert safri. Some good resutrants in the Pyarmids in WAfia city too.

Hey hey Kimmy, let us know how it goes. I'd been offered a interview for a job in Dubai a few weeks ago, but kind of didnt turn up in London for first interview..........wish i'd gone now. As you know I work in Retail as a Manager and they pay silly money over in Dubai. Guess i better start to look as they reckon its going to be the best place in the wolrd to live in

Doha to Dubai is only a 40 minute flight - and around 7 hrs from UK to Doha, it could be you have a long hang around in Doha waiting for your connecting flight.

Right i leave mancs at 2.45pm land in doha at 11.45pm

leave doha at 00.35 and land in dubai at 02.40am

 

My work were wanting to send someone on secondment out there after the last girl came back, we all have children though and three months away from home just isn't the best in that situation. We have offices out there, they are short staffed... so because no one could go, they are now sending work to Leeds instead!!!

Would really like to go though, have heard really good things about Dubai.

I dont know what the time difference is to be quite honest, i "think" my sis in dubai or abu dabhi or whereever she is, is 5 hours in front....i THINK...

Its just a case of she e-mailed asked when i could have time off work i told her, then i got some tickets e-mailed to me lol i haven't arranged anything, quite scarey really i feel un-organised!!

 

Not it wasn't, it was a question. It is normal for your flight times to show 'loca' time, but I didn't want to make that assumption. Sorry if it sounded sarcastic, I can assure you that I didn't intend that!

no problemo, good job i asked instead of assuming hey lol I didn't honestly know if i am honest thats the first time i looked just my sister was going on about being home in 15hours so i just presumed not as bad as i thought

If I remember correctly there is also a time zone change between Doha and Dubai of plus 1 hour which would also account for some of the extra time
