Default bad EBC experiences...

Whats the worst you've experienced...

I used an entire set of Redstuff pads in 70 miles on track once!!

It wasn't as if they were great either!!

Strange how people seem to get completely differant experiances with them ?

Perhaps they dont like drilled or groved disks ?

My bro likes his red stuff on his porker - it a 88 with standard plain disks - road use only.

the integra type-r lot rate the ebc blank discs and say that the drilled/grooved etc are utter wank. Strange really imo as the blanks are normally viewed as the worst ones, anyway i have ebc blanks and red stuffs and think they preform well enough for what i need

had them on a renault 19 16v- utter crap, no feel, no bite, no stopping power, std pattern parts 10000% better.

Sierra cos 2wd 330mm 4 pot Ap's, came with greenstuff, same again apart from lots of fade as well .. DS 2500's a million times better.

Useless, IMHO, not fit for sale to the public they are that bad

Your not fitting them backwards are you ?? lol
I have no experience of them but my m8 stuck some in whilst at croft last year and he said they worked well, better than the original oe stuff anyway.

I was given some greenstuff pads and ebc groved disks along with braided hoses for xmas. The ka wont be doing any track days this year so am i gonna find a ditch with them or are they going to perform better than the standard disks and pads that are on there now?

I had green stuff and EBC drilled/grooved discs, spent ages bedding them in and the first time i used them hard the discs warped.

This was on a 2.2 Vtec Prelude.

Don't rate them much at all.

green stuff pads and the discs all round

lasted 4 trips og high speed

red stuff lasted 6, then set fire to my caliper and welded the slider together on a saturday

yellow stuff worked like a treat but lasted 300 miles and scrapped the dicsc

running balck diamond all round at the mo and no problems, saving up for foor some 6 pots though

I fitted new standard disks with ebc greenstuff pads for the road and they where great- good bite and minimal if any fade.
fitted them with drilled and grooved black diamond disk and they where rubbish- took for ever to warm up and get bite and even when they did the where crap and really didn't stop too well

ive not had bad experiences with ebc. they are my preferred brake choice on my touring. standard sized ebc drilled grooved discs with redstuff pads up front and green at the rear. never cooked or faded them even after very hard use/abuse. just keep on biting.

Shortest distance I have seen a set of greens last is about 6 miles.
That was on Kim Mathers Sunbeam on the Promenade rally about 6 years ago now. They were brand new in on stage 1 and had to be binned as they were down to the metal by the end of stage 2.

I once opened a box and looked at some

Couldnt bear myself to touch them though.

Greens reds yellows and I think blues ? were given to us FOC to try out by a magazine.

They were sent back with a note saying no thanks
