Need some help with iTunes on the pc please!

I got given an Ipod Shuffle for xmas and have loaded up Itunes, except now when I start the PC it takes ages to load up and is alot slower when i'm surfing the net!

How do I turn off Itunes and any other programs that I can fuck off from the start/load up process please?

Thanks

Fpmsl No worries Euan, i've got itunes saved into my docs and don't have an icon on the desktop, it's got to be something to do with itunes or Quicktime Player or pictureviewer!

I wonder if you got the new version of iTunes. Mine runs like a pig while its doing all the album imports and setting the gapless playback information. In the window at the top of iTunes, it'll say something like "Determining Gapless Playback" when you first start it. Hit the X at the right hand side of the window and your machine should speed up a bit.

Pisses me off no end as I can't see an option to turn it off.

Cheers

Matt

Personally id ditch ITunes and use something like Floola

http://www.floola.com/modules/wiwimo...e=download_win

Then you can update your mates ipods from your machine rather than it being locked to just yours
