Agree about the Zetec...
and I can't get excited about anything FWD to be honest.... just think its pony. ok for under 300bhp but gets pointless at 500bhp unless its a drag car.

While we are on the Subject i just want to clear a few things up as i felt a little disloyal and its not what im about so now someone has asked i feel i can get it off my chest
when i came to this site i Met Mike Goldbum and started to buy parts and he was helping me mod my escos when i put the order in for my clutch diffs ect as mike isn’t a tuner he put me onto martin as he was doing the hydraulic clutch ect and seemed that they could team up and pretty much sort out anything that i wanted together i have always spoke to mike about what i want from my car and engine ect and how i love his engine and want it but the cost of parts ect made me think it was only a pipe dream and that i would never be able to afford it
i then see Porkie post a post up saying about his GT30 engine and with a few pm's to Martin i got a very good price for a GT30 engine that would probably last me forever and as martin said once i have a GT30 Engine i wouldn’t want Mikes engine anyway as i would have enough power with this engine
my car was then give to Harvey at SCS as i developed a problem the TPS fucked itself and the car went into limp mode and i couldn’t sort it as well as the are needing setting up the coil pack to be fitted Water injection to be rigged up ALS to be all plumbed in the list continues
I then took the car to a track day at snetterton where i spent the weekend with Mike R "and our Mrs's" and we had a chat about a few things engine wise ect and realised we apart from our obsession with cars get on quite well and i now class mike as a friend and i find he is even calling me up to look at Media centres on the net while he is shopping ect anyway back on topic
after the track day i had a few minor problems not to any fault of Martin or Harvey at all just usual Cosworth probs like i split a hose and had a knocking noise i needed sorting ect had a chat with Harvey about a few engine options as you do and come away wondering what i really wanted
i want my car setup for the Track, i want ALS and quickest response possible when the ALS is not on, so me and mike discussed and come up with the above spec, im not saying martin couldn’t do what me and mike have surmised but as the cars at Harvey’s now having a bottom end rebuild it seems natural to have him put together the Parts me a MR Rainbum are collecting
There is no reason for me not going for the GT30 Engine other than what i have put and i will be using Martin/Reyland again in the very near future for Hydraulic hand break conversion, roof skin to get rid of the sun roof, floor mounted peddle box and any other fabrication work that needs doing as Martins work is second to none as a lot of you will know!
Hope that Clears up a few things as im sure it looks like im jumping from tuner to tuner, im not i just like to use them all that way i get the best of the best

Ian sold his Focus to Paul Johnson a while back and Paul will be putting the engine that was in his Fiesta back which was originally in the Focus back into the Focus (where it came from when he brought it from Ian).
Mine's definately happening. Due to other commitments namely a marriage, baby boy and the setup of a new business I had to prioritise over the car.....for once! LOL However I've nearly got everything sorted now in order to give the car more time to get completed. It is a totally diffierent engine and car hence the time involved.
Regards,
Sunny.

Sounds like there is going to be some proper fast cars out next year
Think i will be sticking to around 450bhp but have been talking about a roller bearing T4 wich could see me closer to 500, just cant justify a custom exhaust and other bits to go further than that.

Gatecrasher - New spec head, custom CGI block cnc'ed to spec, WRC headgasket, Cosworth WRC Pistons, Mountune Arrow Steel Rods, Custome Steel Crank, diffierent custom exhaust manifold, new custom inlet, external wastgate, 8 x 650cc injectors, Autronic SM4, CDI-Coilpack, custom driveshafts + a rather large turbo + usual other mods that my other car had. I'll be happy to see somewhere near 700 genuine with loads of torque.
Hi Tim, long time pal! My cars terminals were only timed at TOTBII however as everyone knew due to the slipping cutch I only ran just over a bar of the 2.3 bar of mapped boost. Saying that it done several 124mph 1/4 terminals with the best of 126mph. Full boost would of been more. What about you guys?
Cheers,
Sunny.

so you were doing 124mph+ terminals on half boost then? Mind this is over 4 years ago now. Don't forget the damp wouldnt really have too much of an effect on your terminal speeds.
I thought Karl had disclosed everything anyway....why hide just the 1/4 terminals?

Hi mate,
Duratec isn't going in my car. Mine's a very...lets just say custom zetec.
Regarding Ian's Duratec engine I think it's only fair for him to disclose that on here. Mind you he's probably busy changing nappies right now as he's not long ago had another new born girly.

I'm currently building two engines
A 600 bhp destroked ST170 turbo engine which will be going into my Westfield so it doesn't count as a Ford really
Also building a 5 cylinder Volvo (Focus ST225) all alloy engine at the moment
Building it for 600bhp plus+
Running throttle body injection
T04Z
big cams etc
Might put it into a ford shell
